Hello readers, I have come back from a nice relaxing trip to Long Beach Island, off the coast of New Jersey. It was just what the doctor ordered to usher in the last week of summer. There was lots to do, from relaxing at the beach, enjoying a Broadway themed ice cream show, to racking up tickets at the arcade, this vacation was a hit in my book. To rent a house for next summer, I recommend Newbern Realty Company. These guys have helped my family get a really good price on a nice rental home every year, so hit them up.
Alas, however, summer is coming to an end. However, when I mean summer, I mean summer vacation from school. It does, however, feel like a bitter-sweet moment. Considering this will be my senior and final year of high school, this will be my last official summer. I have no idea what the new school year will bring, but I hope it goes by fast. To many of the people I call my friends have moved on to become college students, and I want to join them. It is always a sad moment to have to admit that it is time to start getting up early, time to start worrying about homework, being unable to pull late nights, and not having full, free days.
However, I think it is time to get to Warcraft, shall we. So on my Warlock, I hit 61 yesterday. Which means I have been in Outland for a little while now. It seems to have lost its flair on my 3rd toon hitting it, and has actually become irritating. It is partly my own fault, well mostly my own fault. I have made tons and tons of Death Knights on various realms just to pass time, and well I kinda ruined the initial part of Outland to the point that Its gotten plain boring. But I think if I get farther into it, say hitting Zangarmarsh, I will become entertained again.
Well that is all for today folks, thanks for reading :)

Cataclysm Collector's edition news, my vacation plan, and choosing the right guild
Hi readers, as you may know, the collector's edition of Cataclysm has been announced, so I used my birthday money to pre-order it, and boy is it nice. I mean the stuff that they are putting in there is pretty amazing. I am not really able to describe all of it's epicness, so check out the official page here.
In other news, the time is drawing near for me to finally get a new ring. This time what I seek is the Emerald Flame Ring, which drops from Prince Tortheldrin in the west wing of Dire Maul. No real idea as to whether I will actually see it, but I have high hopes.
I also regret to inform you I will be gone for a week, starting on Saturday, and thus will not be able to post. Due to this, I ask and encourage you all to keep up to date with Lkpriest's blog/vlog and enjoy all of the cool things she posts. I have included a link to here blog here, but also on the links page to the right.
Also, due to my want to power level my warlock, I have been playing less and less on my other 80's. Mostly because I am biding my time till cataclysm to get a fresh start with raiding, and partly due to lack of motivation. I find having a 80 character is fun at first, but if you do not raid on a regular basis with a stable raiding team, it tends to get rather boring and you end up losing your motivation to do the daily routine. Sometimes I find that I am hit with the sudden urge to go do a fun achievement, but then once that ends, I grow bored.
Now you may be wondering what point I am trying to make in my rant above, and that is understandable. So here is the point. The point is be nice, find a good guild, and get on a stable raiding team of people you just like to be around in the virtual world. This makes being a max level not as filled with tedium and boring routine. However, make sure the way they handle loot is fair and balanced. There is nothing worse than raiding night after night and not being allowed to even roll on any gear that you need due to guild regulations.
Choosing a guild can be tough, especially with all the choices out there. Some guilds are made for hardcore raiders, while others are made for casual game play. Some may be leveling guilds, while others may be guilds made up of friends. In the end, picking one that fits your play style, your personality, or your needs is what is key. So don't get caught up in the popularity factor of a guild, because the most successful guild is not always the nicest, the one who has the most hard modes and world firsts under their belt isn't always the most lenient.
Prestige does not mean best for everyone.
So I wrap up my little adventure into guild land, I implore you to remember these key steps, and find a guild that is right for you. While I understand the guild life is not always good for everyone, always having nice people to talk to is something no person should go without. :)

My quest for a new ring continues
Hi there Folks. This is gonna be my first post of my new blog, and I need to start with something that is on my mind today. On my level 54 (soon to be 55) warlock, Mornenion, I am still using a little ring called Charged Gear of the Whale. This is a level 28 Gnomeregan drop from Mekgineer Thermaplugg. I stress the fact that this is a level 28 item on a level 54 character.
Now of course it wasn't an issue in the first 5 levels after. This was mainly due to the fact I was searching for the Tumultuous Ring of the Sorcerer from the Satchel of Helpful Goods to replace my other ring whose name escapes me. No luck, I kept get "of stamina" or "of the soldier". Until the day I finally lucked out and got the ring I needed. But at this point my other ring, the before-mentioned Charged Gear, was in need of upgrading. But at that point, I leveled past the bracket for getting the ring and was forced to accept boots and shoulder pads I had no use for.
Now fast forward to today. I have been running Blackrock Depths for just about a week now for Gorosh the Dervish in the Ring of the Law. My hope was that I would get him and loot his drop Bloodclot Band as an upgrade. Sadly, this has not happened yet. However, today, I saw a major upgrade drop. From Emperor Dagran Thaurissan himself, Emperor's Seal of the Owl dropped right then and there. I was so excited, until I remembered we had a mage in the group. Sure enough, he rolled need on the ring. I was sitting biting my nails, when, just as I had suspected, I lost the roll with a 5. Needless to say I was angry.
All my attempts to run BRD after that were, to put it bluntly, terribly unsuccessful. The first one was a group of complainers wining that they wanted to do DM yet they wanted to do a random to. Make up your mind. The second group was just fail beyond fail. We wiped on the first trash mob. The third group after just fell apart because to many people had real life problems to deal with. I guess that's alright but why queue if you know you have something coming. After that I decided to give up for the day and just quest.
So, this is where I am left, having a ring that is rapidly falling out of par with all my other gear. I am always looking on the auction house, doing more random dungeons, killing creatures, and any other thing I can do just to get a passable upgrade. But then again I shouldn't really complain. Most of the other gear I have is pretty good, more than enough to make up for the ring stats I am missing.
This is Barenblood, signing off of his first blog post. More to come, and remember, if you ain't WOWing, you ain't living baby. :)
